Enhancing quality of life through an integrative patient-focused approach using advanced, evidence-based diagnostics for people with hearing loss, dizziness or imbalance.
Meet the Doctor
Dr. Massoodnia utilizes an integrated, patient-centered approach and the most recent medical advancements to deliver high-caliber care across the spectrum of ear disorders. To uncover the root of the issue, she strives to understand patients as a whole through active listening and thoughtful questioning, rather than viewing them as a sum of their symptoms. This enables Dr. Massoodnia to extract subtle and seemingly-unrelated details from clinical history to shed light on a patient's current symptoms while using cutting-edge technology to identify peripheral ear dysfunction or central dysfunction, along neural pathways beyond the ear. The ultimate goal is to improve a patient's quality of life and functionality, which is optimized through a multi-disciplinary and patient-focused approach conducted with evidence-based methods.
Recent research has found that some individuals that have recovered from Covid-19 may suffer long-term deleterious effects on their health, including but not limited to hearing loss, dizziness, imbalance, brain fog, cardiovascular, pulmonary and cognitive issues. Post-Covid-19 Syndrome has been designated for the SUBSET of people suffering ongoing negative health effects after being cleared of Covid-19.
Research has linked the systemic impact of Covid-19 with possible long-term brain effects affecting a subset of those with post-Covid-19 Syndrome reporting enduring cognitive symptoms. The aftermath of Covid-19 in this subset of individuals is paralleled to the repercussions of traumatic brain injury (TBI), which is correlated with inflammatory processes in the brain and an increased risk factor for mini-strokes, or transient ischemic attacks (TIAs).
